Depth
12-45 metres
Sea Bed
Most of it is Posidonia but to the left it is rocky and more interesting, further out being sandy.
Interests
There is quite a large cave and a recently scuttled vessel, the Um El Faroud.
Specialty
Cave/Wreck Dives
Dangers
The Cave can be dangerous because the bottom is silt and visibility can get very low if disturbed, although there are another two exits higher up. The wreck is recent and hence does not present much danger structurally. One should still be on the lookout for the roof tiling however. The wreck has several side hatches and one can ascend from the engine room straight upwards and out through a shaft adjacent to the chimney.
Visibility
Quite Good
Navigation
Go down at the entry point and round towards the right of the wall where you will see a small cave and further on, a larger one. The entry at the bottom is simple but be careful not to disturb the silt, as this is the only easy exit. There are another two exits higher up but these are very restricted. Beyond the caves is the wreck lying on the seabed at a depth of about 36 metres. It can be found by taking a bearing of 240 degrees from the bay outlet.
Entry/Exit Points
